Lake Villa District Library will soon have a new online catalog: BiblioCommons.
This catalog offers you exciting new ways to search for library materials, manage borrowed materials and connect with the LVDL community.
For example, with BiblioCommons, you can:
- Rate and comment on books, movies and other library materials
- Create lists of favorite books, authors, movies and music to share with the LVDL community or keep private for personal use
- Easily explore best sellers, award winners and new items
- Connect with other patrons with similar interests in a safe and protected online environment
Patrons will be required to create usernames to access their accounts, place holds and connect with other users if they choose to do so. An email address is required. All user information is still protected, and to enhance privacy, users are encouraged to immediately change their account passwords. Registration is not required for simple searching.
